An investigation at the Christmas market

A debtor who has paid his outstanding debt in the amount of 1.240 € The man who had been delaying his unemployment for months, claiming to be "unemployed," became the focus of our investigation department. It was striking that, despite his alleged unemployment, he was already commuting daily against left the house at 10:00 AM. Our investigators became aware of the situation and decided to examine the matter more closely.

Discreet observation – and a crucial clue

An anonymous tip suggested that the debtor might be working at one of Germany's most beautiful Christmas markets. Our investigators therefore positioned themselves at the right time and place – and the suspicion was confirmed.

The debtor worked regularly at a fairground stall, where he was diligently grilling meat skewers and sausages. The observation took place over two weeks, repeatedly and thoroughly documented. Extrapolated based on the minimum wage, this resulted in a potential income of over €4,000 – significantly more than the debtor had claimed.

The solution: Not the debtor, but the employer.

Directly contacting the debtor would have jeopardized the outcome. Instead, we sought a conversation with the operator of the food stall. It then turned out that... not the debtor, rather his life partner officially registered as a worker was – and also she received the wage. However, the actual hours worked were paid exclusively by our debtor.

To avoid problems with tax office or customs To avoid this, the operator of the stall decided to pay the titled claim. immediately and in full cash to be settled.

How the fairground operator subsequently settled its internal affairs is unknown to us – for us, the crucial point was that our client was 100% satisfied.
