Successful investigations and enforcement against old debtors

Slowly the sunny days are getting longer and more frequent, and the sad and cold season is coming to an end. Time to look over the shoulders of the old debtors again.

A claim from 2018 for an amount of €36,000 had been under surveillance by MB Inkasso & Investigation GmbH for years. After no new negative entries could be found about the debtor, our investigation team got hold of an old debtor who was well known to us, a sole proprietor in the landscaping sector.

Covert request for gardening services

Posing as a private builder, we asked the debtor about gardening services and pruning. The debtor said that it would not be possible at all for the next two weeks, but that it would be possible after that. We left the debtor in the dark as to whether we would give him the contract.

Surprising deployment the next day

The very next day, a team of two employees was sent to the debtor's private address before sunrise. After only a short time, the debtor got into his beautiful new company car and drove to his company. When he attached the trailer to his new Amarok VW, it was already clear to our employees that things were about to get started again.

Successful campaign against debt and illegal work

The team followed the debtor for almost half an hour, who stopped to fill up his car and pick up a work colleague. When we arrived at a luxury property, we were able to see the debtor working there for over an hour.

Right moment for confrontation

After we had secured all the evidence, we arrived at the right moment to get the debtor down from his ladder and ask him how his debts were or whether we should file a report on suspicion of illegal employment.

The debtor explained to us that this was purely a friendly service. We replied that he would not work for 14 days for free. At that moment the owner of the house came over and asked what was going on. After a short exchange, we were able to get the owner of the house to pay us 50 % of the contract, i.e. a sum of €22,000, and the landscaper has thus paid off at least a large part of his debt. He is currently paying €250 a week to pay off the rest of the debt.
