Personal debt collection during the Christmas season

Last year we had to deal with a particularly stubborn debtor who owed one of our clients an enormous amount for wine deliveries. The self-proclaimed high-class Italian had bought high-quality wine for several thousand euros and had repeatedly put off the supplier, even though his own business was booming. The only way to counter such stubbornness is with creativity!

The research

We knew that the restaurant is often booked for company Christmas parties towards the end of the year and that a lot of money goes into the coffers on these days. Disguised as a prospective customer, we asked the restaurant owner about possible dates for our own company party and were also able to find out on which days the large party room was already booked.

Then, on the day of the stranger's party, we set out to intercept the payment directly. Unfortunately, the bill was paid with an EC card.

The second attempt

The second attempt, however, was more successful than expected, as the next boss was very generous in his appreciation for the employees of his company. The reaction of the restaurant owner when we identified ourselves together with the bailiff was indescribable and worth every effort. The money did not go into the restaurant owner's pocket, as expected, but into the wallet of our client, who can now finally pay his own bills and thus also secure the Christmas bonus for his employees.
