Debt collection and the prejudices
Even today, many people still associate debt collection with grim-looking weightlifters who go from door to door like a team of door-to-door salesmen and intimidate debtors. On the one hand, this kind of behavior is not tolerated by the law and, on the other hand, such measures are rarely suitable for seriously getting business partners to pay and at the same time keeping them as customers. Reports often emerge that debt collection companies are making masses of unjustified claims that have no legal basis whatsoever.
However, these dubious representatives only make up a fraction of the industry and cast a bad light on the otherwise highly professional service providers. In Germany, debt collection services may only be provided if the company is registered in the legal services register. The public register can be viewed by anyone. Debt collection companies that violate the strict legal rules run the risk of having their license revoked. We ourselves see it as a matter of course to face the debtor on an equal footing and to constructively work out a solution to resolve the outstanding debt. After all, our clients should be able to continue to work with their business partners in the future.
Ready to act with the full force of the law
Nevertheless, we are also prepared to take action against chronic non-payers with the full force of the law. From telephone debt collection and home visits in the extrajudicial area to the seizure of wages, salaries and property in the case of titled claims. We have no understanding for people who refuse to pay without any reason. Installment payments, even in small amounts, should be possible for everyone, especially if the debtor received the payment from the creditor a long time ago.
Are your outstanding debts piling up or do you have claims that have not yet been settled? Do not hesitate to seek our help and arrange a consultation with one of our employees.
